Balmain
Lodge was established in 1996. It's been specifically designed
for short/long term accommodation in Sydney. It has clean, comfortable
rooms that surround a private garden & courtyard area. Balmain
lodge has an overall quiet, warm and friendly atmosphere. Our
guests are often travelers and tourists visiting Sydney from
around the world as well as Australians traveling from interstate.
Balmain Lodge is located in the heart of Balmain's popular shopping
& eating out area on Darling Street, which is Balmain's
main road heading East. All our guests love the Balmain Lodge
as their Sydney base as everything they want or need is only
a very short walk away from your room. Bus Transport to Sydney
city and other areas of Sydney is available opposite the Lodge.
Ferry Transport is located a short walk from the lodge.
Balmain is a Sydney suburb bordering Sydney City on the
west side of Darling Harbour. Much of Balmain & East
Balmain over looks Sydney Harbour from the South-West. Balmain's
surrounding suburbs include: Birchgrove, Rozelle, Balmain
East, Lilyfield, Annandale, Glebe, Leichhardt, Pyrmont,
Ultimo and Drummoyne.
When you step out of Balmain Lodge onto Darling Street
you'll find many cafes, coffee shops and several pubs. There
are many restaurants for dining-in or
take-away meals. Balmain also has a bakery, supermarket,
shops, chemists & newsagencies and many other commercial
shops to browse. Picturesque & historical
backstreets are also home to some of Sydney's popular fine
art galleries the Sydney
College of Art is also further down the road
in Rozelle. Many of the surrounding streets make a relaxing
walk where you'll see some beautiful local homes, wonderful
views and small parkland areas which overlook Sydney Harbour. |
